Westpac has the worst gender pay gap of any major bank – FSU sessions

Equal Pay Day marks how far into the new financial year women must work to earn the same as men by 30 June.

At Westpac, that date doesn’t fall in August like the national average – it’s much much later. Women at Westpac are working a massive 152 extra days on average every year just to catch up. That’s five months of unpaid work, and it’s the worst gender pay gap of any major bank.

This year, Westpac’s Equal Pay Day falls on Saturday 29 November, and the FSU is hosting two lunch and learn sessions to unpack what’s driving Westpac’s massive pay gap and how we can push for fairness.

Wednesday 26 November, 12.30 – 1.30pm (AEDT)

Thursday 27 November, 12.30 – 1.30pm (AEDT)

Equal Pay Day isn’t just about the numbers, it’s about fairness, recognition, and action. Join us at a session and let’s work together to start closing the gap at Westpac.
