ALLIANZ AGREEMENT A WIN FOR WORKERS.

A new Enterprise Agreement at Allianz is expected to be finalised soon with plans
for a ballot of staff in early 2017.

The Finance Sector Union of Australia (FSU) and Allianz have reached agreement
following productive negotiations.

The new Agreement will be a win for workers. Recent discussions have confirmed
all parties’ intention to offer an agreement that will provide all staff, including evening
workers, a package of conditions better than under the Award.

FSU National Secretary Julia Angrisano thanked the FSU negotiating team and
Members at Allianz for the successful negotiations to date with Allianz.

The FSU acknowledges that Allianz has taken a cooperative and collaborative
approach throughout the negotiations which have lasted for nine months.

“The new agreement provides not only for higher rates of pay for Allianz staff but
also includes for the first time provisions to support employees impacted by family
and domestic violence,” Ms Angrisano said.

“It recognises the role of grandparents as pillars of support for their families,
introducing leave for grandparents reflecting the changing role of grandparents in
assisting with childcare,” she said.

Ms Angrisano said the agreement provides for increased employer funded paid
parental leave, increased access to leave for specialist medical appointments and a
top up of personal or carer’s leave when an employee returns from parental leave.
