IAG clarifies “Work from Home” requests
In a meeting between IAG Senior Employee Relations and the FSU last week the company has clarified that FSU members and IAG employees will not be “forced’ to work from home.
FSU members working at NRMA Branches in NSW had raised concerns that they were being directed to work from home once their branches transitioned into the company’s new kiosk set up.
Several union members during consultation with the FSU reported that they had been asked to work from home despite highlighting to their managers that the arrangement would not be suitable for various reasons.
IAG has confirmed that managers were not asked to direct employees to work from home but to offer the opportunity to employees who might consider working from home once their branches completed the transition.
The FSU will be conducting a round of visits to union members and workers at NRMA Branches in the coming days.
